Hello and welcome to our website. The Beaver Bay Agate Shop has been in business since 1941 making it the oldest rock shop in all of America. We are a family owned business that specializes in Lake Superior Agate, Thomsonite, Merry Ellen Jasper, and Binghamite. Our shop carries a large variety of jewelry, rough/polished stones, carvings, spheres, lapidary equipment, fossils, beads, books, and many more one of a kind items. While on the shore you may find a beautiful stone that you would like turned into jewelry. Keith has been creating jewelry for over 15 years and would love to turn that special stone into something you can wear. He works in both Sterling Silver and 14kt gold. We also offer wire wrapping and face polishing.

Thank you for another amazing year! We are swapping over to Winter Hours now that leaves are all gone and MEA weekend is upon us. What changes - we close Tuesday and Wednesdays, close early some days if slower, and close if weather weather gets unsafe. The two harbors shop - Sunset Rock Shop will be closed for season and Jessica will be listing on etsy, instagram, ebay, among other places as well. We will get those posted here and facebook when she is all set up. This fall we will be installing the new deck. Have a wonderful winter and see you when coming up the shore!
